Gamification Mechanics:
The Soulbound Ecosystem utilizes many forms of gamification across its components, incentivising both individuals and large collectives that interact across our platforms. This allows users to follow users and projects, compare and compete with each other and see how they measure up. Using DRIP as a baseline, achievements and badges can be earnt (and then displayed by the user) to show specific accomplishments for which they are most proud. Our gamified systems are publicly displayed so all users can attain a sense of comradery, or competition.
Some actions on the Soulbound platform are gated behind DRIP thresholds - the more you interact, the more content and functionality you unlock.
Challenges, Missions Quests
You can complete Challenges, Missions & Quests on the Soulbound platform, to earn all sorts of rewards. DRIP, GLUE, SSD and Stickers all from the Soulbound ecosystem; and from external partners, NFTs, Tokens, figital merchandise from their respective projects and partners.
Missions can be as simple as following an account on a social platform, in-game actions, or a complex series of steps performed over a long time span. A Quest is a task undertaken by a user that generates a reward when completed. Soulbound players earn non-transferable social rewards, crypto tokens, game NFTs and in-game incentives for desirable on & off-chain actions, exploring the metaverse, and beneficial social engagement.
To reward or incentivise players for acts that help the game community, developers might create creative incentive structures. For instance, developers might create a smart contract quest that rewards a high level player with in-game currency for guiding a novice player through their first dungeon.
In the future, we are planning to allow any user to create a mission for whatever their goal, via a self-serve platform. Power to the people!
